Centre Culturel Départemental - Abbaye de Saint-Riquier
A cultural mecca during the Carolingian Renaissance, Saint-Riquier Abbey is now a hub of contemporary art, with a rich, varied and even surprising cultural season and the great Saint-Riquier Festival.
From the abbey church, a masterpiece of flamboyant Gothic architecture in Picardie maritime, and its private chapel adorned with mural paintings, to the former conventual buildings, the former cloister courtyard, the gardens and the neo-classical minor seminary, the Royal Abbey of Saint-Riquier has an incredible and mysterious 1,400-year history! Today, this exceptional heritage site is home to a departmental cultural center offering high-quality temporary exhibitions and a space dedicated to artistic practice for 0-99 year olds!
