The Underground City of Naours

Refuge for the inhabitants since the Middle Ages, from where their nickname of Mûches (hiding places in Picard), smuggling place in the Modern era, site prized by the Australians and English during the 1st World War, passive defense of the army German during WWII, the underground city of Naours has stood the test of time and tells you its story. Come and discover this immense site dug in the limestone of the Picard plateau, remarkably organized and recognized as one of the largest in the North of France.
