Who are we?

The asinerie du Marquenterre was created in 2003 and opened its doors to the public in 2004. A discovery farm that allows young and old alike to come into contact with the animals of the farm. We welcome families and groups (schoolchildren, day-care centres, old people's homes, people with disabilities).

In a family atmosphere, you will find a direct and warm contact with nature and animals. In an educational place where the well-being of the animals reigns, in a green space. From the rooster to the donkey, there are many animals waiting for you.

The asinerie du Marquenterre is located a stone's throw from the sea, in a green setting.

For information: the farm is located in the direction of Fort Mahon Plage on the D32.

Christophe Lebrun, passionate about donkeys since his childhood, is now at the head of a herd of about thirty donkeys. From this passion, was born in autumn 2017 the first milking of our donkey POLKA. And many others followed.

Production of our soaps

Concerning the milking, the production of milk in the donkey begins at the birth of the foal, but it will be necessary to wait for the two months of the foal to begin the milking. We obtain milk until the weaning of the foal, between 6 and 8 months.

Our donkeys are milked 3 times a week, once a day. The milk is collected by hand and according to the needs for the manufacture of our soaps.

The quantity obtained varies from one donkey to another and from one day to another.

After milking, the fresh milk is sent to the Elixâne soap factory in Seine Maritime in Vieux Rouen Sur Bresles for manufacturing.

The soap base is entirely vegetable and enriched with perfume oil.

The perfumes are created from essential oils or fruit extracts and the colourings are created from clay (green, yellow, pink or red).

Sometimes dried petals (mint, marigold) or crushed apricot kernels are added as an exfoliant.

Donkey milk is added FRESH to the preparation.

The packaging is done by us.
