How can I see seals?
They're the stars of the Baie de Somme - the seals, of course!
Here are all our top tips for meeting them.

The Bay of the Somme is home to France's largest colony of harbour seals. They are accompanied by a few grey seals, who like to rest together on the sandbanks when the tide goes out. These individuals travel between the various estuaries on the Picardy and Opal coasts.

We offer several ways to discover these marine mammals in complete safety with experienced guides:

- An accompanied excursion of 4km and 2h30 with a Qualinat-certified nature guide departing from Plage de la Maye, Pointe du Hourdel or Berck-sur-Mer.

- A one-hour zodiac trip departing from Saint-Valery-sur-Somme with Cap Baie de Somme or les Petits Charcot and from Le Crotoy with l'Étoile de la baie.

- A Polynesian pirogue trip of 3h30, departing from Le Crotoy beach with the Ma Baie de Somme and Pagaies et Baluchons associations or from the port of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme with Vaa en baie.

- A 3 hours horse-drawn carriage ride departing from Le Crotoy beach with the Ma Baie de Somme association.
