Les Moules Marinières
What would the Hauts-de-France region be without its mussels and fries? Here is the famous recipe for marinière mussels flavored with shallot, parsley and white wine which is a delight for seafood lovers. To be served with homemade fries, of course !
The ingredients for 4 people :
  • 2.5 kg of mussels
  • 100 g shallots
  • ½ bunch of parsley
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 40g butter
  • 30 cl of dry white wine
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Recipe :
Carefully scrape the mussels and wash them 2-3 times. Drain them and keep them in the fridge.

Peel and finely chop the shallots.

Chop the parsley, then peel and chop the garlic.

In a large casserole dish, melt the butter. Add the shallots and sauté for a few minutes.

Finally add the garlic, parsley and mussels. Drizzle with white wine and pepper.

Cover and cook over high heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally with a skimmer.

Stop cooking when all the mussels are open. Discard the mussels that have remained closed.

Serve hot, accompanied by fries.
